**This camp is over 2 days. Each day runs from 10am to 3pm. (August 21 & August 22) Children will be dropped off and a parent is not required to stay. Children must be 10 years or older.** Let’s get cooking! Over the course of 2 days, each child will learn a variety of recipes, kitchen safety, how to set a table & basic etiquette, and food safety. Children will also take a walking field trip to Waseda Farms Market, discuss the importance of a balanced diet, and experience some kitchen science!
Hands on cooking will include- fruit smoothies, muffins, scrambled eggs with veggies, chocolate chip cookies, ice cream, spaghetti & meatballs, veggies & dressing. Children will receive a folder of all the recipes and get to keep the apron they use in class. Naturally, lunch and a snack will be enjoyed (after they make it!) each day.
