The Lion King

March 18, 2017 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

Go on safari with The Dance Company as it performs The Lion King. The Lion King tells the story of Simba who is tricked by his Uncle Scar into thinking he killed his father, King of the Pride Lands. Simba flees into exile and befriends a couple of outcasts. A chance encounter with his childhood friend Nala leads him back to the pride where he challenges his Uncle Scar, ultimately returning to his place in the circle of life as the rightful king. This family-friendly performance includes speaking parts and offers a fresh interpretation of this classic story. Unique music selections and creative choreography bring the grassy plains and starry skies of the Pride Lands to life, while more than 50 dancers costumed as African animals perform to The Circle of Life. The Dance Company offers behind-the-scenes tours for troops and school groups.
