Artist: James Barany.
The Northwestern building mural depicts the historical growth and expansion of the upper and lower Fox River’s logging, sawmill and papermaking industries spanning from 1850-1950. The mural is a tribute to both men and women devoting their life’s work to the area industry. The building’s proximity to the Fox River is paramount for placement of this mural. Just under 200 historical photographs from Wisconsin State archives were used as the fundamental inspiration and guidance of the concept.
